The Agridue Agricultural Company covers 25 hectares with production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and durum wheat.
In this portion of land are olive trees, with an average age of 50 years, of the varieties “Coratina, Peranzana, and Leccino” cultivated respecting nature.
Among the vigor of the olive groves, we dedicate ourselves with dedication to the care of the olive trees of our company, located in the territory of Lucera, province of Foggia in Puglia.
Lucera is situated on three hills, on the highest “Mount Albano,” which dominates the wide surrounding plain of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, the majestic Swabian Angevin Fortress overlooking also our Agricultural Company.
This is an area rich in history. Lucera has ancient origins. It is said that its name derives from Etruscan words and that Diomedes, arriving in Daunia after the Trojan War, worshiped the goddess Minerva in the legendary temple dedicated to her. The presence of Neolithic remains and Roman-era artifacts is remarkable. Lucera was ruled by the Normans until 1200, and the city’s history intertwined with that of the Swabians.
The olive trees of the Agridue Agricultural Company are distributed over a hilly territory that enjoys mild winter temperatures and hot summer temperatures that enhance its quality. At the headquarters, the company has converted the family home into accommodation with 5 beds and offers guests the opportunity to learn about Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the agricultural company, and the beautiful territory.
